This quarter, I presented my research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium! I had a poster presentation called "Exploring Diel Cycles in Prochlorococcus MED4 Through Metabolomics". For my research, I investigated how particulate metabolites in Prochlorococcus MED4 varied over simulated daily light-dark cycles. It was a wonderful experience preparing for the symposium through data analysis, reading relevant literature, abstract-writing, designing the poster, and practicing my presentation with my lab group. During the symposium, I enjoyed talking to other students about my research and learning about other undergraduate research as well! Overall, this was a great first research symposium to present at!

Through my Introduction to Field Oceanography class, I went on a day-long cruise around the Central Basin of Puget Sound with my classmates to collect samples and data for our research projects. I helped collect seawater samples, zooplankton samples, and phytoplankton samples. It was my first time going on a research cruise, and I had a lot of fun, aside from some seasickness toward the end! Here are some pictures from the cruise!

Through UW Film Club, one of my best friends and I got to go to an exclusive press screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 2! It was so much fun and I highly recommend watching the movie. It's absolutely hilarious.
