Spring 2023 |
This quarter, I graduated and was awarded the President's Medal, an award given to two graduating seniors with the most distinguished academic records in their class (a class of over 8,000 people!). It was such an immense honor to receive this award, and it was so much fun sitting on stage during commencement and meeting so many amazing people. It made me happy seeing all of my hard work at UW be recognized!
I completed my oceanography senior thesis this quarter and presented it at the UW Undergraduate Research Symposium, the School of Oceanography Senior Thesis Symposium, and an Ingalls Lab meeting! My thesis is titled "Uptake Kinetics of Homarine by Marine Bacteria", and it has been a great experience taking the project from start (proposals and experimental design) to finish (a written thesis and research presentations)!
Spring quarter was an active quarter for TCD! I co-planned a workshop teaching interested people of all skill levels some classical Chinese dance choreography, performed at several events at UW, and learned lots of new dance pieces for our Spring 2023 showcase, including a new group dance, a solo, a workshop medley, and a K-pop dance medley. I'm so grateful to have been part of TCD this year and for the amazing community and opportunities it has given me!
